Monarch House Maple Ridge improves access, coordinates treatment, and focuses on results for families and individuals with developmental delays, disabilities, and changing needs throughout their lifespan. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts® (BCBA), speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists work collaboratively and individually as required to deliver evidence-based treatment in our centres, clients’ homes and schools, and in specialized housing settings. We are committed to continuous learning and conduct research to advance understanding and provide the most effective treatments possible.

Our Programs

Spring break and Summer camps

Daily activities in the community that will expand your child’s interests and opportunities, foster community relationships and make new friends!

 

Social Skills Groups

This group focuses on developing social skills necessary to successfully interact in typical community settings. Skill areas covered include understanding others perspectives, thoughts, beliefs and intention of others, and emotional regulation and awareness in self and others.

 

Sibling Support Groups

A group designed for siblings of individuals with ASD. Topics covered will include understanding ASD (why does my brother or sister act this way?), how to interact with my sibling and making friends with other kids who also have a sibling with ASD.

Date Night

Every Friday night (with the exception of stat holidays), children and their siblings will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities at Monarch House Abbotsford. Each week will follow a different theme of activities that are inclusive to all who attend. Recreation opportunities are provided by Behaviour Interventionists working at Monarch House. While the kids are having fun, parents have the opportunity to go shopping, eat dinner or read a book!

COST: $15 per child.

Hours: From 5:30pm to 8:30pm

 

Monthly Developmental Screening Clinic

Every Friday night (with the exception of stat holidays), children and their siblings will have the opportunity to participate in fun activities at Monarch House Abbotsford. Each week will follow a different theme of activities that are inclusive to all who attend. Recreation opportunities are provided by Behaviour Interventionists working at Monarch House. While the kids are having fun, parents have the opportunity to go shopping, eat dinner or read a book!

COST: $5 per child.

Children ages birth to 6 years old
This monthly clinic is a free of charge, drop-in service for parents to address questions and/or concerns regarding their child's development. The clinic is run by a qualified team of professionals, including behaviour analysts, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists who will be available to provide brief consultation in the areas of behaviour, speech, language, pre-literacy skills, and motor development.

The results of screening will be discussed with parents and are meant to indicate which areas are following typical development and others which should be monitored more closely.

No Referrals needed. Drop ins are also welcomed.

Our expert team at Monarch House is dedicated to improving the understanding of evidence-based treatments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other communication, learning and motor disorders.
