Our Programs
1:1 Services with Behaviour interventionist
All programs delivered by your therapist will be regularly monitored and modified by the BCBA® according to the most stringent requirements set out by either the Behaviour Analytic Certification Board (BACB) and/or the funder. At Monarch House, a behaviour therapist will work with your child for a minimum of 7.5* hours a week in your home, in the centre, or in a combination of both. Regular family meetings are included in the comprehensive/Intensive Behaviour Intervention program. In these meetings parents are able to collaborate with the BCBA® in modifying current goals and creating new ones for their child.
We can help with:
-
Assessment of baseline skills utilizing industry standard tools.
-
Development of a comprehensive curriculum that targets skill acquisition across multiple domains (e.g., attending skills, visual skills, listener skills, imitation, speech/vocalization development, requesting, labelling, communication/conversation skills, play skills, group skills, social skills, pre-academic and academic skills, gross and fine motor skills, self-help skills, and activities of daily living).
-
Assessment of problem behaviours (i.e., those interfering with learning or impacting on the individual’s health) and development of behaviour intervention plans.
One on One services with Clinicians (BC, SLP, OT)
Monarch house offers one on one services with our team of expert clinicians like Behaviour Consultants (BC), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Occupational therapists (OT). Our team provides assessment and treatment to individuals with speech, language, communication, and social skills concerns. Our therapy follows best practice guidelines where intervention goals are individually developed, progress against goals is consistently measured, and outcomes are shared with parents/clients on a regular basis.
Group therapy ( Social and Life Skills)
At Monarch House, we offer a variety of different recreational programs to individuals who are affected by any behavioural, communication, learning, and/or developmental delay. Our groups are run by clinicians enrolled in or in receipt of a Master’s degree program. All of our groups include a brief parent and individual assessment and goal setting session where an individualized program is designed and goals are worked on in a peer group with similar goals.
One on One tutoring with Behaviour interventionist
As part of the treatment program we offer one on one tutoring sessions with a Behaviour Interventionist who follows a prescribed behaviour plan. This plan is created and monitored by our Behaviour Consultants (BC’s) and may contain goals from the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Occupational Therapist (OT).
Under 6 Social skills group
This group focuses on developing social skills necessary to successfully interact in typical community settings. Skill areas covered include understanding others perspectives, thoughts, beliefs and intention of others, and emotional regulation and awareness in self and others.
