Monarch House provides many services to help you achieve your full potential and independence in activities that are important and meaningful in your daily life. Our services are specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of every individual throughout all phases of their life. Treatment can be provided at home, in the community or in our purpose-built centres. Our therapy follows best practice guidelines where intervention goals are individually developed, progress against goals is consistently measured, and outcomes are shared with parents/clients on a regular basis.

How can we help?

At Monarch House, all therapy is based on best practices and a client centered or family-centred approach, this means you (our client) are involved in every decision made regarding your treatment plan. Using evidence based best practices we help our clients develop skills that can benefit them in home, work/school, and community activities. Our services are provided in one-on-one session or group format.

Our team of Occupational Therapists can help with:

  • Fine Motor and Gross Motor Development
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Sensory processing difficulties
  • Self care including Feeding, sleeping, toileting, hygiene
  • Independent living skills such as organization, financial planning, cooking, household maintenance
  • Vocational skills

What does occupational therapy look like?

In order to provide the most effective treatment, at Monarch House we take an integrated, holistic approach to occupational therapy. Our OTs work in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary network of clinicians — including behaviour therapist and speech and language pathologists, to deliver comprehensive care, personalized programs and, above all, better health outcomes. Our OTs provide assessments and specialized treatment specific to your needs. Our treatment programs can be covered by healthcare plans, Provincial funding programs (in BC: Autism Funding programs or At Home Medical Benefits funding), charity funding and private pay. Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists (PT) help children develop independence in activities that are important and meaningful in their lives through assessments and specialized programming to assist with motor skill development. Using evidence based best practices we help our clients develop skills that can benefit them in home, work/ school, and community activities. Our therapy follows best practice guidelines where intervention goals are individually developed, progress against goals is consistently measured, and outcomes are shared with parents on a regular basis. Treatment can be provided home, in the community or in our purpose-built centres.
