Assessment, Diagnostic and Counselling Services

Early identification of possible developmental delays in children helps them to receive necessary intervention sooner, leading to better outcomes. At Monarch House we provide screenings clinic for parents who may have questions about their child’s development. Screening services are appropriate for children up to 6 years of age. Screening clinics are a free of charge, drop-in service for parents to address questions and/or concerns regarding their child’s development. The clinic is run by a qualified team of professionals, including: behaviour analyst, speech-language pathologist, and occupational therapist. They will be available to provide brief consultation in the areas of behaviour, communication, speech, language, play skills, pre-literacy skills, and motor development. The results of the screening will be discussed with parents and will indicate which areas of development are following a typical path and other areas which may require ongoing monitoring or additional assessment by a healthcare professional.

If you're interested in attending one of our complimentary developmental screening clinics, please contact your nearest Monarch House Location.
